Momoya Team Will Bring New Restaurant Concept to One Bryant Park
The team behind the Japanese dining destination Momoya has signed a lease for a new restaurant concept on the ground floor of The Durst Organization’s One Bryant Park. The 5,000-square-foot space will be home to an elevated Japanese restaurant concept and feature indoor and outdoor dining, filling a space formerly occupied by Charlie Palmer.
“For the first time since we opened One Bryant Park, the spectacular restaurant space at the base of the building became available last year,” said Jody Durst, president of The Durst Organization. “When we met the team behind Momoya, we knew their vision would be a perfect fit for the Bryant Park neighborhood – one of the most in-demand office and travel destinations in New York City.”
Momoya operates three locations along with an elevated kaiseki restaurant Kappo Sono in Union Square and three outposts of the casual sushi concept Happy Tuna. The restaurant at One Bryant Park is expected to open later this year, with a new dining concept and a redesign of the space.
The Durst Organization was represented in-house by Tom Bow, Rocco Romeo and Nora Caliban. Momoya was represented by Christopher Owles of Sinvin Real Estate.
