Pullman Gateway Mixed-Use with Chick-fil-A Breaks Ground
Members of the Pullman community and officials from the City of Chicago officially broke ground on the latest addition to the revival taking place in Pullman and Roseland — Pullman Gateway. The new eight-acre, mixed-use commercial center will feature the South Side’s first Chick-fil-A restaurant as its anchor retail tenant, as well as the CTA’s new Red Line Extension Office.
Once completed, the transformation of an unused parking lot and an off-track betting facility into the new Pullman Gateway will retail options and new jobs to the community. Pullman Gateway is adjacent to Pullman Park and Pullman Plaza, and just a few blocks east of the Pullman National Historic site.
The new 5,200 square-foot Chick-fil-A will create 125 new jobs, adding to the 2,000 local hires at the many new businesses that have been located in the Pullman community over the past several years, including Amazon, SC Johnson, Gotham Greens, Whole Food distribution center.
